Rain extends into Wednesday and Thursday with strong winds and hail, moistening ground and boosting farmers' confidence. Dust was blown from the wet earth toward the clouds, giving the impression of a tornado. The rains promise favorable conditions for crops this year.
An Italian man fired at a Greek on Friday morning and cut a portion of his scalp. The Italian claims the incident was an accident. The other party may view it differently. The report notes a lingering late war spirit in the area.
This week's issue is again the usual number of home print pages edited and printed as best we know how. We hope it may agree with the reader's sense of newspaper criticism. We have added Bundy's ad as a feature and make no direct appeals for local vendors or services.
Rev. Martin P. Mortensen will begin duties next Sunday June 8 at the Lutheran church. He comes from school and will remain through the summer vacation, filling the pulpit morning and evening. He returns after last summer and friends extend a welcome for a pleasant and successful season.

Potter Nebraska adopts 1913 budget and levy. Ordinance appropriates 950.00 to general funds and 100.00 to salary funds for village expenditures to be raised by the 1913 tax levy.
