Ten Games Without a Defeat Led by Lodge Pole Winds

Lodge Pole beat Julesburg 6 to 2 last Sunday as Gee and Reynolds pitched for Julesburg. Lodge Pole posted two runs in the first and two in the fifth, with J. Stowell credited for the win over Julesburg. Kimball defeated Sidney 14 to 7 in a long game with Linn and Cromie combining for Kimball. A new baby girl was born Friday to Mr and Mrs John Stowell.

Will Chowins, a well known community figure and Odd Fellow, died Tuesday night after 1 a m from heart failure. He had stayed at the A K Greenlee home and was found by Mrs Greenlee and her daughter Wednesday morning. Funeral services are set for Saturday at the Episcopal church, with the body lying in state at Campbell Van Gorder parlors then in church from 8 to 10.

The Potter Bear Cats were defeated 12 to 4 by the Sidney Boosters last Wednesday on the Sidney diamond. Potter sent a battling squad, though they faced an all-salaried county seat team, with umpire Crabble delivering a strong, fair call. A large holiday crowd from Potter attended, and both teams were praised for sportsmanship with hopes of a return game on the Potter diamond.

Hog collision near Hebron injures none

Mr and Mrs Charles Rachow returning from a Hebron trip struck a hog about five miles from town. The car overturned causing a sprung axle but the occupants escaped injury. Described in the Sidney Telegraph.
