The Kimball Booster band of 28 members, mostly boys with one girl, visited Potter last Friday. They marched the streets and gathered around the flag pole for several selections, which drew hearty encores from a grateful crowd. Leader Starley Bonham, a former Potter resident, takes pride in the acclaimed band, which locals call the best juvenile group in Nebraska.

Fire damages Alliance church with $1000 loss
A fire last week damaged the Christian church in Alliance, caused about $1000 in damage. Rev. Nathan English, formerly a Methodist pastor in Zimball, died at Arnold, Nebraska, last week. J. T. M. Pearson of Sidney left for St Louis to work with the government civil engineering department. Louis Lundy, 60, was beaten to death by unknown persons in Bayard, owner of a rooming house. A two year old boy, son of W. R. Blanton eleven miles west of Gering, lost an eye when his sister poked him with a ramrod.

Red Cross annual meeting elects trustees and lists new members
The local Red Cross chapter held its annual meeting last Monday. Trustees were elected for terms of one, two, and three years, and a long new membership roll was announced. A dinner and bazaar will follow in aid of the Red Cross, with 50 cent admission for adults and 25 cents for children.
