First English Lutheran Church invites all to attend next Sunday services. Sunday school begins at 2 15 and the worship service with sermon at 3 00. Pastor W T Kahse D D extends a welcome to friends and members.
Sunday school meets at ten o'clock and extends a cordial welcome. Morning worship at eleven with a sermon titled Dangerous. Vesper at the grove. Sunday afternoon August 27 closes vesper season with a four o'clock service and picnic dinner. All are urged to attend.
Dana College of Blair Nebraska announces a drastic cut in costs for 1933-34 offering board room tuition for the year at 23 dollars. The plan relies on eliminating discounts and scholarships, church assistance, and productive endowment while stressing college preparation for life work.

John Skidmore Lea Lucan and Eric Larson were tried in county court at Ogallala charged with selling intoxicating liquor. They were fined 100 dollars and costs each and given 60 days in jail. They appealed to district court and gave bond for their appearance.
Mr and Mrs Elquest of Mitchell marked their fifty eighth wedding anniversary last Saturday. Family hosted the event at home while many friends visited to extend congratulations. The Elquest family were early homesteaders north of Potter.
Eight 4-H clubs in Morrill county conducted a county demonstration day in Bridgeport under county agent Nelson with R. I. Frisbie and Miss Woodman directing. Participants demonstrated sewing cooking canning calf raising and practical tool use with explanations of many activities.
Qioren Sorenson, owner, has paid farmers about 55 000 yearly for milk and cream during the past three years. The operation now yields about 40 pounds of cheese and 960 pounds of butter daily. He began the business at his residence in 1915.
Leo Barnell connected with Kimball school named emergency county agent for Garden county to promote the wheat allotment plan. Wendell Huff, son of C E Huff, farmer south of Kimball, named county agent for Adams county.
The Oshkosh fire department relocated to its new quarters in the city building during a regular meeting. County attorney Wrenstein rode on the chemical wagon but was excused to go home for new trousers after an awkward seating incident. Prof Henry J Knies, noted musician and director of North River valley musical organizations, died in Wheatland hospital following an operation. Born in Germany, he served in the German Army in World War I and later led music programs at the Gering school. His widow and one son survive.
