Jail and stiff fine for audacious speeders
Earl DePue, Sidney marshal, detained three local youths driving a Buick at 30 to 40 mph and repeatedly using sidewalks. After the chase they wrecked the car, a front wheel broken, and were jailed. A trial followed and a stiff fine was imposed. Their fathers later retrieved them.
