Steel Gang At Work On Caliente & Pioche Road Progress

The steel gang resumed laying steel near Condor Canyon and move toward Pische. Grading in the canyon nearly finished with camp moves planned from Delmue's ranch to Pische. Panaca depot complete and neat. Agent Monteorery says orders to move to Pioche on October 15. No definite railroad day date yet.

Death from blood poison after untreated cut in 54 year old man

Sunday morning George Lathrop died at 10 30 from blood poisoning traced to a cut received around August 15th The wound was advised to be attended but proper care was delayed four days He was fifty four and refused to name his relatives A sister in Orange Massachusetts sent a letter among his effects Burial was from Hose House No 2 Monday afternoon.

Lincoln County takes a large block of Muddy Valley lands as the Truncated Lands Company forms with capital stock of 100000 dollars. Incorporators include Thomas H. Pitzgerald David M. Lanieth J. A. Fitzgerald Wm Livingston Van D. Spaulding Jus A. Melville of Salt Lake City and Joby Y. Smith of Lehi Utah. The firm has acquired about 1600 acres in Muddy Valley and pursues a branch of the San Pedro Salt Lake line to connect with the main road at Moapa.
