Bristol-Pioche Mining Company Advances in Nevada District

The Bristol-Pioche Mining Company plans large scale work with machinery en route and a sinking shaft progressing at 98 feet in twenty days. Rail construction on the Caliente-Pioche line continues, with track laying to Panaca expected by June 1. Incorporators include H. C. Rowley, W. Vance, and W. W. Dunn. capitalization at 1,000,000 shares with 400,000 treasury stock.

Proebster Returns to Manage California Pioche Properties

Mr Chester L Proebster of Portland Oregon examined California Pioche company properties in April and will reside there. He assumes duties as general manager and brings strong mining knowledge. He prepared an elaborate report with observations on formations and ore occurrences.

Los Angeles Men Plan Pioche Wood Yard Venture

Messrs Hammond and Miller formerly of Los Angeles prepare to start a wood yard in Pioche. They may install a circular saw to cut wood to any length on demand. They aim to stock a large supply in summer to sell fuel at a stable year round price. The idea follows last winters fuel delays and seeks to ease future shortages.

Surveyors Busy in Highland Mining District Survey

Messrs Knowlton and Patter son civil and mining engineers are busy surveying in the Highland Mining District. They recently finished a patent survey for the Lucky Boy Group for J S Free and associates and will soon survey the Manhattan Group for the same. They are also surveying Lincoln Nevada properties near town. Gun flashes interrupted the day as foot racers were seen in the lounges.

Payment Made On the Milwaukee Mining Claim Group

Mr J S Free has exercised his option on the Milwaukee group in the Highland Mining District. The group, purchased from J B Wheeler Chas Ping and Ben Geske for 15000 dollars, adjoins the Mendha Group and is deemed highly desirable by informed parties. Salt Lake City capitalists back the venture with mining engineer FP A Taylor endorsing the property and noting imminent development plans.

Lincoln County to Re fund Old Debt

Lincoln County commissioners consider refinancing bonds. The board may accept terms from bond holders, citing Esser versus Spaulding and Thompson versus Turner to validate refunding acts. With Lincoln County’s bright outlook, terms should keep taxes near the present 45 cents per $100 valuation.
