Vollmar proprietor at Vollmar's park eyed a large object in the river last week thinking it was a log. After investigation he found a corn cutter and struck a carp, amputating a tail piece weighing about 12% pounds. The incident references Ed Blue's pet carp and claims spring clipping aids growth with no pain to the fish.
The council met in regular session with the mayor and clerks and four councilmen. Minutes approved. A resolution offering Second St paying bonds to sinking fund trustees was passed but the trustees refused bonds for lack of funds. A sale notice for the Second Street bonds was ordered. An estimating board for assessment of Second Street bonds was appointed. The clerk was ordered to notify a property owner to cut weeds. A sewer tap permit was granted on Hickory Street. Street and light committees were authorized to manage materials and lighting for Monument Park. The mayor was authorized to have the council room and front painted. Council adjourned.

John Lanning Pray a Ghyll war veteran and former county commissioner died Monday at 1 20 P M at his home 2627 Maplewood Toledo aged 72 He was married twice first to Pamela Hall mother of three children including J Emmery Pray and daughters Mrs Homer Heath and Mrs John Greeves His second wife Mary Singer survived him along with three daughters and a son Pray held memberships in Wakeman lodge Waterville Toledo Commandery Knights Templars and the Scottish Rite He also belonged to Toledo Post G A R
On June 26 Perrysburg citizens met with Dr Kinsley as temporary chair to plan a bath house. They have raised nearly $100 in 10 days and will begin building this week with Art Williams as master builder on the old mill foundation behind Rheinfrant hospital with permission from Dr Rheinfrant. Officers elected include Dr Kinsley president Art Williams secretary T M Franey treasurer Fred Rosabach vice president. Members urged to contact officers to join and add names to the membership roll.

Elmer Bartel known as Mike dies after a Sunday afternoon crash while riding west toward Dunbridge. He attempted a crossing near a T B & S T Co track, turned along the right of way when a street car approached, was struck by car steps, thrown into a ditch, and died en route to his home after medical aid and transport to Bowling Green.

The Lime City commencement, held Friday in the M. and church, featured ten Perrysburg township pupils. Under Prof. D. A. Haylor, the program included solos by Miss Ta Simmons and Mrs. R. B. Allen, recitals by several students, and orations on Progress of Humanity and Modern Times. Certificates and Boxwell Patterson diplomas were distributed, with Rev. Webster urging preparedness for future opportunities.
