Local column records many Logan residents hosting and visiting relatives across nearby towns on weekends. Fred Ambrose and others from Nelsonville and Columbus appear in social notes while the library course plans a February lecture rescheduled to March 1. A hundred volumes will join the public library soon alongside notable visits from musicians, farmers, and teachers amid general community jottings.
Governor Pattison shows signs of rapid improvement with two hours of driving daily and a restful night. He plans to return to the Capitol headquarters in three years, pending physician approval, while clerks complete 1500+ pension and appointment records and the Senate handles inheritance tax and other measures. The House and Senate committees continue business with the governor’s absence noted as not hindering state operations.
The Public Library Board presents Mr. Ellsworth Plumstead in a third number of the lecture series at Opera House. He delighted the Logan audience with masterful character interpretations including Night Wind. Mrs. C. E. Bowen and Miss Margaret Luts contributed between numbers. A fine turnout and support for the library program were noted.
Probate court records from Marion and Murray Townships list guardianship appointments and estates. C B Kennard received guardianship of minor children of Sarah Finney. bond filed by Ida B. Mathias for Dwight Mathias and other minors. inventory filed for James Thomas estate. Mary Colgrove sought administratrix of Hamilton Cosgrove estate with $100 bond. hearing held Jan 23 for TS Floyd relief for a blind person. final account of Henry Mansel as administrator of Geo W Gordon estate. J W Hulse sought administrator of David W Hole estate. Marshall Bundy Allen recovered property. Yost pleaded guilty at mayoral hearing and bound over to grand jury.
Albert Yost took John Myers' horse and buggy from the rear hitching yard by Remp la Opera House on Wednesday evening June 10. He was captured in New Salem and brought to Logan Friday evening.
Divine service with preaching by Pastor H W Walker in English at Lutheran Trinity Church on North Mulberry Street Sunday evening at 7 o'clock sun time. Sunday School at 9 80 a m.
Eddie Oblinger from Cleveland travels to Logan to visit relatives. He is a brakeman on the Lake Shore line out of Cleveland. Mr and Mrs Chas BStracke and now Paul of Springfield Missouri had been visiting Fred Btracke and family and returned home that Friday.
