Weekend Thefts Hit Six Houses in Delhi Township
Six homes were burglarized in Delhi Township on Sep 27 28 weekend while police dealt with a major murder case. Victims include Martin Speckart who reported a diamond ring two pocket watches a camera and about $100 in cash and Thomas Hughes who lost a coin collection a coin bank three fifths of whiskey and two cartons of cigarettes. Rev Edward Cotten Dies Retired Minister 74
Services were held for Rev Edward T Cotten at Dalbert Woodruff Funeral Home for the 74 year old preacher who died October 1 at Hillebrand Nursing Center. Ordained in 1918 in Virginia he served in Ontario and Eaton before joining Plymouth Congregational Church on Glenway and Quebec Aves where he led 33 of his 50 years in ministry. He produced poetry and held several church secretarial posts including for Price Hill United Association and the Miami Christian Convention. He survived by his wife Olga Cotten a daughter Margaret Duebber two grandchildren and seven sisters.

Delhi Township Funds For TV Tape System Granted
The Delhi Township Police Department receives a 1400 grant from the Ohio State Department of Urban Affairs to buy and install a closed circuit television and video tape system for interviewing suspects in misdemeanor and felony cases.
