Alfred Hart Jr., 18, of 727 Hawthorne Ave., avoided a wedding day sentence after Cheviot Mayor Donald P. Bennett suspended driver safety lessons and fined him 40 dollars for failing to yield to children in a crosswalk near Cheviot Elementary. Hart's nuptials were planned for Saturday. The mercy came with a warning to improve behavior at crosswalks. The couple, engaged to Maureen Noonan, will wed at St Martin Church Cheviot and reside on Wells Ave Price Hill after the ceremony.

Nine people received aid from the Delhi Life Squad over four days. Howard Hinkle 46 of Pedretti Road suffered back injuries when rear ended at Delhi Pike and Robbin Le. Alma Riestenberg 51 of Bob Drive was the other driver. Hinkle treated at Good Samaritan Hospital. Stan Ludwig 60 of Chesswood Drive had possible skull fracture and facial cuts after a Foley Road and Greenwell Road crash. He was taken to St Francis Hospital. Other runs included Albert Rottinghouse 58 abdominal pains at St Francis and Anna Ault 89 possible stroke at Deaconess Hospital. Arthur Heinlein 78 possible stroke at St George Hospital.
