Rammelsberg Named Director of School Guidance Division
Marvin G. Rammelsberg of Cincinnati Public Schools was named director of the Division of Guidance Services, succeeding Dr. James O'Hara who resigned to take a Denver post. Rammelsberg has served as acting associate director since January and has guided services since 1964, with prior roles at Cummins School Hughes Junior High and Adh Junior High. West High graduates Cheryl Ober and Mark Baldwin were named recipients of the $100 Koenig Memorial Music Scholarships. Ober, bassoonist at UC College-Conservatory, is a 1968 West High alumna. Baldwin, West High graduate, plans to study music education at the College Conservatory. The awards honor musical achievement, youth band involvement, and applicant quality, funded by Louise Koenig Springmyer in memory of Rosina F. and Gottlieb Koenig.

On Price Hill day July 16 at Coney Island infants toddlers and young two to three year olds were judged by nurses with Deron Voet and Gregory Stagin taking first in infant and two to three year old groups. Debra Melrose was crowned queen while Terri Grimmelsman Jaylene Kreig Lisa Wenz and Julie Santen also placed.
