Delhi Park Board to vet statue plan and add picnic tables

Delhi Township Park Board agreed to purchase 30 heavy plastic picnic tables and allowed a veterans memorial at Delhi Park 5073 Foley Rd. The project is led by Delhi Civic Club member John Gall to raise $8,000 for a white marble soldier statue. Memorial dedication may take up to two years.

St Dominic Girl Tops Spelling Bee in Greater Cincinnati

Jennifer Riegler an eighth grader at St Dominic Romen Catholic School won second place in the Southern Ohio Eastern Indiana Spelling Bee and will be alternate representative for the region in the National Spelling Bee in Washington June 27. David Weinshenker a sixth grader at Country Days School won first place and will represent the metropolitan area at the national finals. The metro finals were held at the Cincinnati Gas and Electric auditorium sponsored by CGE and Scripps Howard Newspapers.
