Plane crash claims three in Dunn North Carolina
Worth Stephenson of Angier piloted an old plane that failed to right itself and dug into a field killing Stephenson Stewart Curtis of Raleigh and Wales Blalock of Angier. Coast Guards Fire On Rum Running Boat On Niagara River
Eugene Downey 27, son of Buffalo police Lt. Downey, was shot by coast guardsmen after failing to stop a motor boat crossing the Niagara River. Downey died in hospital from a belly wound. The other youth fled ashore and authorities linked the craft to narcotics and rum smuggling reports from Canada.

Tragic Family Massacre Ends in Suicide in North Carolina
