Frankie Erickson a 37 year old blind newsboy from Butte volunteered blood for J. E. Thompson a Billings salesman injured in an automobile accident on Meaderville road. In Laredo Texas on December 13 the U S government pledged armed protection for former Mexican president Plutarco Calles during his pass through the city. Richard Joyce American counsel notified district attorney that the United States would defend the diplomatic immunity granted to Calles and would use force if needed to ensure his transit. A warrant accuses Calles of conspiracy in General Lucio’s 1922 death.
