Retirement law changes favored by Montana board
HELENA, Dec 7 Eight proposed changes to the state teachers retirement law were approved by the state teachers retirement board. The measures would raise the maximum salary used in calculation, establish a vested right after 10 years, allow out of state credit with a 10 year cap, guarantee a minimum retirement allowance, permit selection of three of forty years for computing benefits, set a fraction of salary contributions for expenses, and give late entering teachers more pre retirement service credit. The board also approved five retirement applications at its Helena meeting.

Man Arraigned in Larceny Case Before Judge Lyne
