Aged man injured in hit and run on Florence Grand

Jack O'Brien, 72, was struck while crossing at Florence and Grand. He was found by Edith Weber and taken to St James Hospital by Officers Malthen and Blewett in good condition with severe bruises and possible left ankle fracture. Description of hit run car was vague.

Widow of Mining Man Succumbs to Auto Injuries

Mrs. Eliza Daly 81 widow of John J. Daly famed Salt Lake City mining figure died in Hollywood after a car struck her and her daughter Dora Lillard 50 wife of Mark W. Lillard. The daughter is in critical condition with a skull fracture and broken leg. police released the driver. Daly was cousin and business associate of Marcus Daly.

Anaconda Man Escapes When Ice Gives Way

Marne Gustafson, about 65, narrowly escaped death when the ice opened on Georgetown lake Sunday night near Anaconda. His brother Edward, 73, drowned there on November 21 1937 after the ice broke away near Flint Creek dam. Marie Gustafson also had been ice fishing alone and escaped a similar fate.

Boys to Get Awards During Honor Court Tonight

Seven Boy Scouts will receive advancements in rank and 19 others will earn a total of 32 merit badges at the regular December court of honor at 8 o clock tonight in a county courthouse court room. Scout Executive Frazer announced, Judge Frank I Riley presides, and a banner will go to the troop with the greatest achievement.
