Injuries Reported From City Auto Mishaps
Several persons were injured, one seriously, in automobile accidents on Butte city streets within two hours last night. Three year old Curtis Olsen suffered a skull fracture when run over near Montana Tourist park Rowe road. rushed to St. James hospital with poor prognosis after operation. Distillery Found Near Butte. Three Men Arrested
Federal officers uncovered a large illicit operation seven miles southeast of Butte containing three stills with 160 140 and 120 gallon capacities, six 500 gallon mash vats, two condensers, boilers and a 52 gallon moonshine stock. New London Conn Aug 6 The Estelle a New York speed boat carrying liquor ran the gauntlet of machine gun fire from a coast guard patrol boat reached Gardiner's Bay tonight after being unable to be stopped by a one pound shell. The patrol kept the vessel in sight as it sped shoreward and then beached it and cut its gasoline line to aid its destruction by fire.

Drought Relief Studied At White House
Washington Aug 6 The possibility of production credit for cotton and livestock through emergency interpretation of the agricultural marketing act drew attention as President Hoover and his cabinet studied drought relief measures. Fresh reports showed feed and water shortages and even human food scarcity, with drought expected to run into millions of dollars. The farm board would lend to a marketing association which would fund a feeder and finance corporation to distribute to regional credit organ izations in federal intermediate credit bank districts.
