Radio Equipment to Be Installed on Mail Planes
Radio and lighting equipment costing nearly 25000 will be installed on National Parks Airways air mail and passenger planes operating between Great Falls Butte and Salt Lake City within two months. A radio engineer will supervise purchase and installation of approved gear. Six sets costing 3500 to 4000 each will be used on the planes and are portable between aircraft.

Boy Holds Up Milwaukee Limited Near Butte
A Butte youth of good family halted the Milwaukee Limited near Roosevelt Drive without weapons to rescue a lost four year old. Alex McKetchnie, a longtime Butte umpire, found his son safe as the train stopped after the boy remained on the tracks until the engine halted and no one was harmed.

Car Crash Injuries on Butte Streets Leave Several Hurting
Several people were injured in multiple crashes on Butte streets. Bud Torgrimson 19 suffered a broken leg when his motorcycle collided with a tourist driven car. Elmer Thompson 18 sustained cuts and bruises. S. L. Jackson the driver faced reckless driving charges and was booked at the city jail. Thompson was held as a witness. The wrecks, including a motorcycle launch about 50 feet, occurred as vehicles turned near Harrison avenue and the tourist park. Downey's earlier crash yielding a broken leg was also reported.

Dog racing finale raises funds for undernourished kids
Near two thousand dollars was raised for a summer camp aiding undernourished children as the Highland Kennel club track drew large crowds. Governor Erickson and family attended with state and local officials present. Al's Derby won the feature race while Miss Erickson presented the governor's cup. Weather forecast calls for mostly fair conditions in Montana through Thursday.
