Jefferson Kershaw Bridge Completed in Lancaster and Chesterfield
The Threatt bridge over Lynches river has been completed and accepted by Lancaster and Chesterfield counties. Built by Mr. 3. M. Jordan, the 260 foot long structure rises ten feet above the old bridge and sits on the road from Jefferson to Kershaw.

War Department warns of possible attack on Americans near Mexico border
Secretary Baker released a statement that definite information shows enemies of the U S policy toward Mexico plan a spectacular attack on American forces or border communities between now and the election.
