Alcohol Explodes Killing Boy In Atlanta
In Atlanta on September 28 a metal drum of wood alcohol exploded injuring Clarence Williams a black delivery boy. He was thrown about 30 feet, had an eye knocked out and a fractured skull. He died later at a hospital. The blast shook nearby buildings and was blamed on gas forming inside the drum.

Law officers seized a Ford car containing 20 gallons of white whiskey Sunday night. W. M. Daniels Jr and Joseph Bernard, both described as negroes, were arrested for violating prohibition laws as officers, including Chief Deputy W O Robbins Jr and federal agents Gillespie and Gore, conducted a search in the downtown area. Deputies also found five half pints of whiskey at 59 Government Street and arrested F A Tremer Jr for violation of the prohibition law. Annie Johnson, a negress, was fined $75 for hosting a party with guests who brought whiskey. the court instructed that the guests should pay the fine. George Bolling was jailed on a concealed weapons charge.
