Berlin June 7. Germany warns in a note to London that civil war in Silesia could erupt if Allied troops do not restore order. Germany says Britain must free Silesia from Polish terror and warns of German population unrest and possible war if demands are unmet.
A man identified as Jader is charged and under arrest in connection with the shooting of Mary Joseph. Authorities stated the suspect had been at large since the incident and was captured recently.
Hotel men from across the state arrive in Mobile for a two day convention opening Wednesday. The event features a seafood dinner at Holston's, an all day outing to Dauphin Island by two schooners, and an honored luncheon at the Cawthorn hotel. County board of revenue and road commissioners begin enforcing the road tax law. Precinct enumerators and road department officials will ensure compliance by workers on county roads. Three hundred employees of the former German owned saw mill at Bar Harbor Florida struck after a saw filer was discharged by the superintendent. Rumors of violence led to the mill being fenced. Workers protested not over wages but the superintendent’s conduct and the discharged filer’s fate.

Documents from the Department of Justice allege three men sabotaged shipboard machinery by tampering with bearings on Shipping Board vessels. Two suspects named are R. E B. Apples shipped from Pacific coast terminals to eastern territories will be $1.50 per hundred pounds, with no in transit storage, starting September 1.
