22 Arrested on Prohi Charges During Weekend
County county, federal and state forces swept Saturday night through Monday morning seizing three automobiles and about 100 gallons of whiskey. Twenty-two people were docketed at the county jail for violating prohibition laws. James Peterson, a taxi driver, was arrested with eight quarts of Scotch in a Ford. Additional arrests followed at Old Spanish Trail camp and Wheelerville, with several others charged and vehicles seized. A Ford with three ten gallon kegs of white whiskey was captured, and Sarah Turner was fined for possessing a gallon of white whiskey. A Ford car left abandoned by two drunken men was found and awaits owner at police headquarters.
