Grain Inspector Needed Says Farnsworth
Don Farnsworth, business manager for the Mobile Chamber of Commerce and Business League, urges establishing a local grain inspector to meet government plans for uniform corn grades. He notes the lack of a grain exchange and cites attempts to inspect cars for a local broker. Information from Jacksonville indicates inspectors would be self supporting at 50 cents per car, and Farnsworth seeks broad cooperation. The chamber may attend a New Orleans conference October 15 with the Grain Dealers National Association.
