Committee Named to Investigate Proposals
After four hours of discussion the board adjourned at 1 o clock naming M J C Rich F G Blair and Geo Gordon Crawford a committee to further investigate the two pence ons. Commissioners Ward Rich Blair and George Gordon Craw tore Birmingham were in attendance at the meeting. Both Mr Cochrane and Mr Buck appeared before the commissioners in person with their propositions. Mr Buck was first called upon and discussed the plan to develop the Hieronymus docks site at the foot of New Jersey street. He presented it as the logical site and a practical location. The Board then called upon Mr Cochrane whose pockets were filled with blueprints. His plan to construct a bridge spanning Mobile river at a site chosen by the board to be conveniently traversed by both rail and other traffic lines to a point on Blakely island was listened to with tense interest.

Morris Meyer Fined and Liquor Destroyed in Prohibition Case
Morris Meyer was fined 150 dollars and costs by Recorder Edington for violating the prohibition law after pleading guilty to bringing 180 cases of whiskey and one case of wine into Alabama from Pensacola on the steamer Tarpon. Liquor seized October 9 was ordered destroyed. additional beer quantities were merged into the case. Ben Fisher also pleaded guilty and paid a 50 dollar fine. Will Allen was docketed for prohibition violations and released on bond. Raids by deputies recovered beer and wine on Cedar Point and Bay Front roads.
