Mobile traveling men finalized plans for Travelers Day at the Gulf Coast Fair on October 30. An 8:30 a.m. assembly at the Cawthon hotel precedes a 9:00 a.m. parade with 60 autos pledged, 40 more promised, bands, elephants and camels from Johnny Jones Shows, then a day at the fairgrounds. A 8:30 p.m. banquet at the Cawthon Vineyard expects 200 attendees. Mayor Lyons may provide a police escort.

W S Keller and W D Harrigan met with Washington county commissioners and the Jackson Highway Pathfinders in Jackson. They pressed for a written pledge that the Jackson highway would be built and that the Jackson ferry become a permanent free crossing into Clarke county.
