Mexican rebel relatives moved to Mexico City
Manuel Madero uncle of the late Mexican president and several relatives, recently arrested at Saltillo and placed on a gunboat bound for Vera Cruz, have been taken to Mexico City. Consul Canada reports they were moved inland without passing Vera Cruz, with Charles Shaughnessy monitoring. Americans and other foreigners who sought refuge in Monterey have returned home and order is restored in the city. General Tellez allows overland departure. Sonora imposes export taxes paid in gold or silver, fiat currency accepted for duties on imports.
