A cyclone wrecked Provencal Louisiana injuring fifteen and killing a Black boy. Churches mercantile shops and twenty five buildings were demolished as the storm cut a three to five hundred yard path at about ten this morning. Reports also hint Rany Louisiana suffered damage though wires were down.

The nomination of Dr. Beverly T. Galloway, chief of the bureau of plant industry, to be assistant secretary of culture was announced at the White House and will be sent to the senate. William A. Taylor, assistant chief, will succeed Galloway as chief. Galloway entered the department from the University of Missouri and led the plant industry bureau since 1900.
