New Start in Life After Operation Rejuvenates Denver Man
Luther Dionne, 63, who had been dying from a brain tumor, began waking after surgeons at Denver County Hospital removed a walnut sized tumor. Over ten days he regained sight and movement, speaking a few words, with doctors predicting full recovery as nerve fibers regrow. The case astonishes Denver physicians as one of the most remarkable operations in the United States. Dionne, once a real estate man, had lived five years in a vegetative state since December 30.
