Mobile Suffered Little Injury After Severe Coastal Storm
Reports from Mobile describe extensive beach and bay front damage from a severe storm. Bay waters rose higher than any previous record while landmarks and piers along Monroe Park and the harbor suffered critical destruction. No loss of life reported though several homes and structures on the beach were destroyed or washed away.
