The British steamer Den of Ewnie sailed from Savannah late Monday bound for Liverpool carrying a cargo of cotton.
The highway commission will discuss future plans with Governor Henderson after lawmakers adjourned without decisive action. The pruning committee urged using motor vehicle license funds to replace the $154 000 annual appropriation, but no change was made. Paris dispatch notes that during peak tensions between Turkey and Greece last week the Turkish minister at Sofia requested Bulgarian transit for troops to strike Greece if war broke out. At the Empire Theatre the fifth Runaway Lane episode by George Randolph Chester plays today. Helen Holmes of Kalem appears in Hazards of Helen, praised as the most daring motion picture star. Ruth Roland and Robert Gray present The Mystery of the Tea Dansant in the Kalem girl detective series, a popular attraction.
