His Majesty Felix III and attendants boarded the royal yacht on February 3 amid cheerful ceremonies. Prime Minister Lee Water Soost presided as master of ceremonies with Admiral Landry and caterer Charles B. Hervey. The voyage to the Dominion of Joy port proceeded smoothly as crowds cheered the king and party upon arrival.

In Detroit on February 3 the government reopens the criminal suit against the so called bath tub trust. Sixteen corporations and thirty two individuals faced indictments on December 7, 1910. Eleven individuals and eleven corporations remain charged with controlling 38 percent of enameled ware output and fixing prices. Notable defendants include Cahill Iron Works of Chattanooga. The list of individuals includes Theodore Ahrens Jesse T. Duryea BE L Dawes Francis J. Torrance and others.
Police intensified efforts to find the bomber believed linked to the killings of Mrs. Madeline Herrera and the wounding of her husband and a boarder. The device used in all three blasts involved a box with a lid that closed a circuit when opened. John P. Farrell, an assistant janitor, was detained as a material witness.
