Mobile appears in gold and green for the gala observance with Gov Henderson as honored guest. The program features a concert speeches smoker and reception ending with dances at Battle House and Cawthon hotels.
The schedule lists a 10 a.m. automobile parade on Government street, 11 a.m. city keys presentation to President Winberg, 11:15 a.m. Banda concert at Bienville square, 2 p.m. band concerts, 3 p.m. Satsuma smoker at German Relief Hall with Governor Henderson as guest, 7:30 p.m. Satsuma Night at the Y M C A, 8:30 p.m. first Satsuma ball at Battle House Auditorium, and an 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Satsuma Night frolic at Cawthon Vineyard.
Mobile observes the second Satsuma Day under clear skies with holiday business districts and green yellow decor. The citrus industry, centered in Mobile and extending to Baldwin and adjacent counties, has attracted northern and eastern investors as it grows from a modest past to a promising future. millions are invested in citrus lands and orchards.
Petrograd reports the entire staff of the Eighty second German army division captured by Russian mounted scouts. Included are two generals seven staff officers and several Red Cross physicians. One colonel killed escaping.
Saloniki dispatch reports Von Mackensen forces split into two columns moving toward Nevrokop from Monastir with cavalry around Istip. Germans may reach the Greek front by the twentieth, but Saloniki defenders are prepared and the allies are said to be safe from surprises.

An army of 400 000 Turks and 100 000 Germans under Field Marshal Von Der Goltz is to march in spring with a Turkish advance guard moving toward Bagdad.
Mrs Upton Sinclair's libel suit for 10000 dollars against the Greenville Democrat was dismissed in county circuit court at plaintiff's cost. The case was not prosecuted and related to a 1914 Columbus article alleging she was arrested during a demonstration before Rockefeller offices in New York City.
The Montgomery Clearing House Association reports November clearings rose thirty percent from 1914 to 1915, totaling 4,569,249.92 dollars versus 3,533,535.45 dollars last year. The gain is linked to stronger trade among merchants and higher cotton prices.
