County Board Fires Driver Over Kenyon Escape

The board of revenue and road commissioners dismissed Aaron Lundy, a white driver, for negligence after D. P. Kenyon escaped from a county wagon en route to the convict camp. The escape was not reported to the jail or camp superintendent. The meeting also handled road improvements, fees for cutting into paved roads, drainage ditch work, and other routine matters with brief remarks by Dr. Ward and Commissioners.
