The Alabama Bankers Association in Mobile unanimously resolves to endorse Governor Henderson's proposed bond issue to retire the floating state debt. It urges the legislature to enact the bill now before it, aiming to restore the state's credit in a businesslike, creditable manner for all citizens.
Unanimous endorsement of Gov Hendersons plan to relieve the states finances and the election of J S Crumm of the City Bank of Brewton as vice president in charge of Group 1 Alabama Bankers Association closed a successful Thursday night meeting at the Cawthorn Hotel. The group urged a similar move at the state Alabama Bankers Association meeting in Birmingham next month. The gathering was described as the most successful in the groups history.
At 1 35 this afternoon the German cruiser Prinz Eitel Friedrich left Newport News Shipyard and sailed to Portsmouth Navy Yard under its own steam escorted by the naval tug Patuxent. Whistles aboard ships in the harbor blew a farewell as the vessel moved down the river.

Lieutenant Alfred Ede of the submarine F-4 warned in a letter to his brother Allison that the vessel was defective leaky and in poor condition. The sub later was lost in deep water off Honolulu harbor two days after the letter was written.
Governor Ralston urged Tennessee Governor Rye not to abandon the Dixie Highway plan adopted at the Chattanooga conference in light of C. E. James action as president of the Dixie Highway Association. The telegram emphasizes that the plan must not fall.

New York April 9 Agents here of the Italian trans Atlantic steamship lines report they have not received Rome s orders said to direct all Italian steamers in American ports to postpone sails until April 20 The Lloyd Italiano line said Stam Italia preparations were being made for a port call and no confirmation of the order was available.
