Miss Augua A Evans wed DeWitt Nelson Pryer of Pensacola in a quiet Monday noon service at St Josephs church with Rev Father Salentine officiating. Maid of honor Mrs B L Sherman, best man Mr Sherman, and Evans aunt Mrs Augusta Evans Wilson noted. Pryer, in furniture business with his father, left for Pensacola after the ceremony.

Mrs Walter La Fargue hosted an Easter egg hunt Sunday afternoon for her daughter Dorothy. Eggs hidden around the lawn yielded Roy Gillmore the top count and a white rabbit prize. Guests included Beatrice and Elberta McCreary, Roy Otis, Earle and Eulalie Gillmore, Alice and Harry Sutton, Edna, Charles and Wesley Bailey, Cecila Hyland, Lillian Pierce, Audrey McCreary and Sadie Hyland, each receiving candy eggs as keepsakes with ice cream cake and nuts served.
Miss Carrie M. Longfield of New Orleans sister of Mrs. Eugene Brown of Mobile will wed Dr. Isadore Loeb of Columbia Missouri this evening at the Longfield home. Dr. Loeb dean of law at the University of Missouri attends with relatives from St. Louis and Missouri Colorado Springs and Texas for the ceremony.
On Easter day at 5 p m the infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Frederick Taggert was received into the congregation at St John’s Church with Rev G C Tucker officiating. Her name is Nellie Margaret. sponsors include Miss Nellie Taggert, Mrs Annie Taggert, and her father.
Mr. and Mrs. G H Randall entertained after the Arnold Overall wedding rehearsal at their Government Street home. Miss Lucille Overall, a niece of the Randalls, plans to move to Virginia. The bridal party and Mr. and Mrs. M Brewster attended the ante nuptial supper.

A wireless message reported the Prins Maurits sank Saturday afternoon near Frying Pan Shoals. The Arethusa, a U S navy supply ship, picked up the message and searched the area but found no trace of the Prins Maurits at the distress location. Captain Kennedy said the Arethusa then continued to Charleston.
The Cawthon Vineyard hosted evening dances attracting many lovers of terpsichore drawn by the announced performances of Dixie, the Cave Girl, and her dancing partner. Attendees praised the displays as the most exquisite in years with rhythms and movements described as intricate yet performed with ease.

I W Robinson of Mississippi says he was assaulted and robbed about 7 pm Monday at the Palmetto and Royal street corner. He claims a drinking companion about 45 years old struck him and fled with $18. The police are investigating the incident.
