Lawsuits and Receivership Actions Dominate Bellefontaine Court
A string of filings in the common pleas court includes Hettie Edwards suing county officials over a disputed $340 assessment and penalties, with a temporary injunction granted to halt collection. Other actions involve the Bellefontaine Building and Loan seeking foreclosure relief on a $1,500 loan, a divorce case where Ida Uncapher seeks separation, and a bank seeking to have judgments declared in various encumbrances. Prisoners were taken to the reformatory after sentencing for horse theft and forgery.
