The Lee Log reports proofs of yearbook photographs must be returned to the public relations office by Friday. Sandra Durst says to write annual on the reverse to indicate pose choice. A photographer will be in the Student Union 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday to Friday for orders and makeups.
Curtain Club and Drama Department present the Madwoman of Chaillot December 9 and 10 in Lee College auditorium. The play follows the Countess as she uncovers a plot by oilmen and non human capitalists threatening Paris with hidden schemes.
Margaret Suesse amusements editor for 1965 66 at Lee College received a three year Valparaiso University scholarship worth 2100 dollars for outstanding high school scholastic achievement. She plans to major in education with a possible second major or minor in Latin. Her Lee activities included plays, the college paper, and the Junior Classical League.
Editors of the Lee Log and Lee Lantern attended the Texas Junior College Press Association annual meeting at Texas A&M in College Station. Sue Jones served as public relations director and advisor. Sandra Durst and Barbara Cleland led the yearbook and newspaper staffs respectively. The program featured AP's Bob Johnson and journalists from Houston Post and Taylor Publishing among others.
A Collegiate Press Service study shows rising student loan applications exceed funds. Congress has approved a $190 million NDEA loan boost, Senate action awaited, while banks push to increase lending. Enrollment growth drives higher demand. colleges raise tuition. some fraud noted.

Dean Walter Rundell of Lee College will retire on February 1 1967 after 32 years of service. A retirement appreciation dinner is planned for Saturday November 19 in Sterling High School cafeteria. The event is directed by Travis Porter with committee members Dr Sam Hastings Charles Tillery Bob McGraw Larry Hale W J Strickler and Roy Comeaux. Public invited and LC students urged to join. Tickets and information available from Dorothy Ammons or the Public Relations office.
The American Student Information Service based in Luxembourg seeks U S college students for summer work across Europe including Great Britain France Germany and more with wages up to 400 monthly. Positions span hotel office factory hospital care ship construction farm sales and camp counseling with living arrangements prearranged and a five day orientation in Luxembourg.
Three Lee College administrators Dr. Richard Strahan Dean Walter Rundell and J C Collum attended the Coordinating Board Texas College and University System meeting in Austin Monday. They met with John Guemple about Lee College vocational technical program with no specific Lee College issue presented.
The Halloween Dance moves from Oct 29 to Monday Oct 31 in the gym. Students wear tacky attire and admission is free with IDs. The event runs 8 to 11 pm and may extend, with committee chairs named and plans for future events noted.
Dr. Richard Strahan president of Lee College told Baptist Students Union luncheon listeners that wealth without spiritual values leads to spiritual poverty. He urged living by God’s will and choosing a standard grounded in faith over material gain.
The staff and faculty at Lee College contributed a total of $2 019.50 to the United Fund Drive showing 100 percent cooperation. Assistant dean Alvin Miles led the campus effort and praised the generosity during the campaign week.
