Graduation Rites Set at Lee College May 27
Commencement exercises for Lee College graduates are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday May 27 in the college auditorium. Dr Phillip Hoffman UH president will speak. Dean Walter Rundell will present honors and scholarships and announce Hall of Fame winners. College President George Gentry will award diplomas. The Lee College Choir will sing The Star Frostiana.

Breakfast Sunday honors Lee College graduates
Lee College plans a faculty prepared breakfast to honor about 80 graduates on Sunday at 2 am in the college cafeteria. Charles DeShong will serve as master of ceremonies as a brief musical program entertains attendees. The event invites the Board of Regents faculty members and spouses.

Two-Fold Purpose Assembly Next Tuesday
A student assembly will be held Tuesday May 17 in the auditorium to present intramural awards and two constitutional amendments to the Student Association for approval. President Charlie Mickel announced the amendments at Friday's Council meeting. Trophies will be presented by Gizzy Martin and Kathy Kveton to the team and individual winners and event winners. The meeting also covered the annual Student Council banquet on May 26 and the Confederate Ball on May 14 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Courses Must Be Approved Before Summer Registration
Lee College students registering for the first summer session must obtain course approval from a counselor or division head by June 6. Permits and approval will be issued in the registrar's office with specific hours during May 31 to June 3. Memorial Day closes offices May 30. registration runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 6.

Proposed constitutional changes for council vacancies and absences
The proposed amendments authorize council appointment to fill vacancies during the term, prioritizing runner-up ballot appointments unless time is tight and the office may remain vacant. The second change requires removal of any council member with more than two unexcused absences, with vacancies filled per the constitution.
Confederate Ball At KC Hall Saturday at Lee College
Lee College holds its annual Confederate Ball on Saturday May 14 at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Lee College Cafeteria Cuts to Noon Service Next Week
Dean Walter Rundell announces the college cafeteria will serve only the noon meal from next Monday through Wednesday as the current cooking classes completed their program under Mrs. Lucile Dill. The facility closes after May 18 with vending machines added, and a new class may start July 1.
