Curtain Club Wins Top Float Award at Shriner Parade
The Curtain Club of Lee College won first place for its South Pacific float in the Shriner Parade last Saturday. Judges cited originality and workmanship. a plaque will be displayed in the Student Union. The event drew wide civic participation and was aired live on KWBA.

Draft Tests Set Here In May June At Lee College
Selective Service College Qualification Test will be given at Lee College on May 14 May 21 and June 3 in the LC auditorium. Director of counseling and testing Mr Wallace Heaner said the test helps show aptitude for college work for students seeking occupational deferments. Only registrants intending college deferment and who have not taken the test before may apply. Applications are available at the Lee College testing office and must be mailed by April 23 to Science Research Associates.

Auditions Today for Hootenanny at Lee College
Lee College announces auditions today at 1 p.m. in the auditorium for the April 7 hootenanny. LC students with ID admitted. non students pay 50 cents. Charlie Mickel urges groups lacking prep time to report for special arrangements. Sand Mountain Coffee House groups from Houston will provide entertainment.

REL Choir Sings at Lee College Audiences Thursday
The Robert E. Lee High School Choir will perform for Lee College students at 10 50 a m Thursday in the auditorium. Student Council President Charlie Mickel urged LC students to attend. The choir director Jerry Forderhase says the program includes Brahms hotel selections Bach cantata Jesus Priceless Treasure folk songs spirituals and Oklahoma pieces with plans to record Brahms and Bach cantata in April.

Circle K sends 24 members to Oklahoma City convention
Twenty four Lee College Circle K members will travel to Oklahoma City on April 1 for a Texas Oklahoma district clubs convention. The club earned money through projects including trash removal digging in flower beds dirt work and window washing plus a car wash and wax totaling 307.50.

Lyceum Assembly to Feature John Silber on April 14
The Lyceum assembly on April 14 will feature John R. Silber, Texas Society for the Abolition of Capital Punishment chair. A native of Texas, he earned a BA summa cum laude from Trinity University in 1947 after studying philosophy and fine arts and winning the Cappini Gold Medal for Oil Painting.
