Lee College Student Activity Fund discussed in council session
Thirteen questions were posed by Scottie Harbers at a Student Council meeting on the use of the Student Activity Fund. Dean Alton Laird explained the fund is administrated by the college, with about 10 000 dollars collected yearly and allocations to lyceum, dances, Confederate Ball, Lee Lantern, free swim periods, convention trip, and campus activities. He noted no changes to fund use and that the building project will be funded by bond sales and federal furnishings money, with minimal reliance on the fund.

Western Week Kicks Off at Lee College Rodeo Club
Western Week begins Monday April 18 at 8 am sponsored by the Lee College Rodeo Club. Lee College Spring Concert Set With Choir and Soloists
The Lee College Music Department announces a spring concert at 7 30 p m Thursday in the college auditorium led by Charles Stephenson. The Lee College Choir, soloists Barbara Alford Joyce Arnett James Baker James Young and student pianists Susan Arvin and John Longwill perform works by Giordani Purcell Handel Giannini Rogers Androzzi Munro Thiman Niles Hageman Martin and Randall Thompson. The choir will sing five movements from Frostiana including The Road Not Taken and Stopping by a Woods on a Snowy Evening. Susan Arvin and John Longwill, high school students of Tom Stone, will also appear performing Liszt Hungarian Fantasy and Debussy Arabesques.

Rundell to be honored by state college group in Arlington
Dean Walter Rundell of Lee College and 22 former presidents of the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities will be honored April 15 at the Inn of Six Flags in Arlington. Each will receive an engraved pen marking the 50th anniversary of the association founded years ago. Rundell led the group as president in 1963 64. Other honorees include L. H. Hubbard.

Capital Punishment Topic For Lyceum Thursday Morning
Dr John R Silber chair of the Texas Society for the Abolition of Capital Punishment will speak at Lyceum assembly in Lee College auditorium at 10 10 am Thursday. He will discuss capital punishment with a 15 minute Q A period. Born 1926 a San Antonio native he earned a summa cum laude BA from Trinity University in 1947.
