Robert G. McGraw served in Iceland and Europe with the Fifth Infantry Division during World War II. He wrote for the Nashville Tatler and Nashville News and later taught physics and chemistry after earning degrees at Henderson State and Sam Houston. His wartime memoirs recount campaigns from Normandy through the Rhine to Czechoslovakia.

UAR Consul Speaks on Arab Nationalism at Lee College
Tahseen Basheer the UAR consul in San Francisco spoke on The Rise of Arab Nationalism at Lee College on March 1 as part of a regional tour. He will lecture at Rice University next and is hosted by the Baytown group of the Organization of Arabian Students. Basheer has led the student group, studied at Harvard, and has lived in the United States about ten years. Lee College hosts 18 students from UAR and other Gulf and Levant states.

College Expects Over 200 Seniors Tonight
Over 200 high school students are invited to Senior Night at the college tonight. Dean Walter Rundell and Student Council President David Smith will greet guests in the SC auditorium from 7 to 8 pm. The program features LC Choir and Band, campus tours, exhibits from several departments, an informal dance, refreshments by Cook's Class, and a free swimming period for seniors from 4:30 to 6 and 8 to 9 pm.
