Former SC student Terry Bone, studying in New York under Tom Knight, lands a juv enile lead in Wide Open Cage by James K Baxter opening late November at Washington Square Theater Greenwich Village. Joe Allen joins Baytown Little Theater cast for The Philadelphia Story staged Nov 29 30 and Dec 1 under director T E Powlett Jr. Clarence Schultz chairs Baytown social sciences division spoke on Politics and Moral Law November 11. Ballots will be cast today and tomorrow outside the Student Union for Lee Log Personality nominees. A joint committee reviews each unsigned ballot. ten positions including Sophomore Favorite and Freshman Favorite will be decided by election December 11 and 12 at the same booth.

Linda Mc Williams Elected REBS Sweetheart for the Year
The REBS selected Linda Mc Williams as their sweetheart this year after about five candidates were chosen from the REBS sister sorority the animas and from these five Ada was elected. She will be presented at the annual Lentire Dance sponsored by REBS in February.

Laird and Allen to Attend JC Meeting
Alton Laird and Joe Allen depart December 6 for a one day executive committee meeting at Sutton Hall UT Austin. The group aims to plan the State Convention of Junior Colleges with representatives from San Angelo Laredo Shriner Uvalde and Lee College as convention hosts and leaders. Twenty five colleges are members and four official representatives per college will attend in the Spring.

English Instructor Joe Gilliland Tops At Lee College
Joe D. Gilliland, an English instructor at Lee College, has a varied career from UT chemistry to psychology, East Asian teaching, and work with the Japanese government. He taught at Wakayama University in Japan for three years before moving to Baytown in 1955 to teach English and humanities. He and his family enjoyed a Bryce Canyon Grand Canyon camping trip last summer, and he plans more travel by camping. He collects serious classical records and maintains a book collection as hobbies.
