Local piano duo to perform in Lee Auditorium

Nancy Williford and Sharon Cox will present a piano ensemble February 28 1963 at 8 00 p m in Lee Auditorium. Nancy Williford plays Gersh win Rhapsody in Blues with Bach and Rachmaninoff on the program. Both students plan music majors. Robert Walker of Houston will discuss writing and editing February 18 as guest in Lee College creative writing class. Tickets cost 1 and go on sale Monday from class members or Mrs. Gladys Ellis. The talk includes a Q A session and 7 30 p m start in the Liberal Arts Building.

The Lee Log Reaches Completion

Clarence Mathews announces the completion of this year’s Lee Log yearbook. Lee College students compiled a 144 page campus activities volume featuring class pictures intramural sports and the Lee track team. Virginia Cook is associate editor with a staff including Mary Jo Fields Karen Rogers Mary Ann Mitchan Elizabeth Giroi Shelley Sheffield Bill Traynham Robert Barclay Lynda Madding Patsy Fregia and Margaret Mitchan.

Holidaysdismissed Thursday. college to resume Monday

Classes at Lee College will be dismissed Thursday at 12 25 p m and resume Monday at 8 00 a m. Instructors will attend a Texas Junior College Teachers Association meeting in Dallas over the weekend.

Allen and Kemplay Named Lee Log Personality Winners

JOE ALLEN and SANDRA KEMPLAY were elected to top personality roles of Colonel Lee and First Lady in the Lee Log Personality election. Sandra Kemplay, active in Phi Kappa Gamma and Student Council, aims to Lamar Tech. Joe Allen, president of the Student Council and editor of the Lee Lantern, plans to attend UC or UT after Lee College.

Lee College Debaters Compete in Baylor Tournament

Lee College sent Donald Magill and Arthur Gillis to Baylor University for the February 1 2 tournament. Thirty three schools from nine states participated. LC faced North Texas State Lamar Tyler Jr College and Baptist Bible College, winning only against Tyler in four rounds. LC stands five wins nine losses this year. Interested students should contact Schultz Magill or Gillis for next fall.
