Walter Fleming Dies at 85 in Grove Oklahoma

Walter Raleigh Fleming died December 27 in Grove hospital after a long illness. He was 85. He was the father of Mrs Evelyn Benton assistant librarian. Bentons mother will remain in Grove where she teaches piano.

Seale Leaves Lee College for NASA Lockheed Project

Mr. Seale resigns from Lee College effective semester end to join NASA site with Lockheed Electronics in the applied mathematics section. He will perform calculations for a moon landing but declined to specify duties. The Baytown resident and Newark State College and Columbia University alumnus has taught at Lee for 18 months.

Spring Registration Permits Issued For Jan 24 25

Registrations for the spring term will occur January 24 and 25 from 9 am to 12 noon and 4 to 8 pm. Students without preregistration should obtain a permit at the registrar's office to begin at station one. In district fees range 56 to 66 dollars, out of district 125 to 135, with science lab fees at 2.50 and other labs varying.

Six-To-Four Vote Ends Event Plans

The Student Council cancelled the January 28 talent show after a six to four vote amid low participation with five or six entries reportedly registered. Governance considered calendars rings marquee and pep sticks while committees explored a used marquee from Lyons Food Service and spring activities. Next Friday the council will elect a sophomore class secretary to replace Donna Toups who transfers to the University of Texas.
