Library Fire at Lee College Causes Major Damage
Early Tuesday morning a blaze at the Lee College Library caused up to 70000 dollars in damage. Head custodian Edward Pugh found the fire at 6 am in the storage area near the library work room with 5000 books possibly lost. Librarian Mattie Howard noted books at five ninety seven dollars each on average and officials foresee equipment losses up to 25000 dollars and 15000 dollars needed to repair the building. The library will be closed through Thursday with a possible Friday reopening on a limited basis.

Regents Begin Bond Push At Lee College Buffet
The Lee College Board of Regents hosts about 60 district residents at a Wednesday buffet to kick off a $1.3 million bond election campaign.
