Ring Around the Moon at Lee College Curtain Club

The Confederate Ball will be held in Lee College gym instead of the Galvez Hotel after the Student Council failed to raise off campus funds. The King and Queen of Lee College will be crowned with delegates from 10 area high schools forming the court. A floor show and Mellowtones from Sam Houston State Teachers College will perform. tickets are $2.50 per couple or stay. Joe Chandler said school picnic plans are also near completion this week.

Dean Walter Rundell attended the National Conference on Religion at Perkins School of Theology in Dallas from April 5 to 7. Delegates from 26 states discussed integrating religion into junior college education and planned state regional meetings. Clarence Schultz attended the Southwestern Social Science and Southwestern Sociological Society meetings in Dallas on April 8 to 9. He later joined the Texas Junior College Teachers Association Executive Committee meeting in Austin on April 14 to 15 and was named director in a charge of registration.
