Freshmen Reflections On First Day Across Colleges
Freshmen share varied first day experiences at colleges including Lee College and SC. Tina Marsh was late after being detained at home while Tracie Miller prepared for the day. Jimmy Knight slept late missing morning classes. Camellia Comanich faced mispronounced names and a late dance class. Stacey Duke enjoyed an easy start with friends and early release in Moser Hall.

LC library expansion proposed for Lee College
LC President Dr. Robert C. Cloud outlines a 13 000 square foot expansion to the Learning Center featuring an audio laboratory with 25 to 30 student assistant stations, a 150 seat large group area, and 6 250 square feet of extra book and periodical storage on two floors. The project targets cramped storage as the library nears capacity with 92 000 volumes in a building designed for 95 000.

LC adds licensed vocational nurse training at Cleveland
Lee College expands its nursing program to Cleveland adding a 12 month licensed vocational nurse course. Dianne McCage says TEA requested the takeover due to funding rule changes. The program, run by Carolyn Rice and Sarah Rhine, shares the campus nursing requirements. total enrollment stands at 72 with a recent uptick noted.

The Counseling Center offers career counseling job placement and transfer help to students. It aims to raise awareness of services and encourage use. Staff include Wallace E Heaner Ger trude Teter Bobby Wheatfall Dee Wheatley Joyce Lannon Sally Adams Theresa Lostin and Dee Ann Kucera. Services include tests foreign student orientation and psychological counseling. Center hours are Mon Tue 8 am to 7 30 pm Wed Thu 8 am to 5 pm and Fri 8 am to 4 30 pm.
