Ten new LC faculty announced for fall semester
Lee College adds ten new teachers for the upcoming fall term. Jan McClendon teaches business skills and holds degrees from Union College and the University of Northern Colorado. Scott L Olsen and Micheal J Keenan join in business administration and English instruction respectively with degrees from Kearney State College and Canisius College. Charles Randall Busch adds mid management expertise after earning an MBA from Louisiana Tech University. Huey McDonald and Steven Chock join the career pilot program with engineering and journalism degrees from Lamar College and Brigham Young University. Anthony L Tisdale develops the auto body repair program into a full-time role, while Emmitt Wakefield expands woodworking from part time to full time.

SG Blood Drive At Lee College Nov 17 19 Moser Hall
The Lee College Student Government sponsors an annual blood drive in Moser Hall Student Center on November 17 18 and 19 with hours 9 30 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm on 17 18 and 9 30 am to 2 pm on 19. LC students are urged to donate and minors need parental consent. The event includes Life Plan III blood assurance. The SG also schedules a Halloween Carnival Oct 29 at 11 am with apple bobbing pumpkin carving and face decorating and a Halloween Dance Oct 31 8 30 pm to 12 30 am at W Main with a Thanksgiving Dance Nov 21 at the VFW.

Baytown Symphony Orchestra performed in Rundell Auditorium on Tuesday October 21 at 7 30 p m conducted by Dr David L Corder with guest conductor Eugene Stephenson and soloist Jeanne Bryant The orchestra included LC students Deborah Harper David Milligan Mike Morlan Mark Alexander Bob Smith Michael Jones Elizabeth Robins and others Bryant also directs bands at Barbers Hill High School and teaches French horn at LC Stephenson leads the Baytown and Robert E Lee High School bands and has directed Sam Houston State University band camps and performed with the Victoria Symphony The program is part of LC Continuing Education.
