Regents approve bid for Reflections magazine printing
Lee College awarded the Reflections magazine printing contract to Hennington Publishing Company at the August 28 Board of Regents meeting after unanimous vote. The controversy over the 1980-81 issues began May 22 when regent Leonard Stasney objected to the story Renee by Rod Ford, citing offensive content about a young black man and his girlfriend amid prostitution and drug references.

Foleys to Open at new San Jacinto Mall in Baytown
Plans call for a September 29 unveiling of Foleys in the Baytown mall. The two floor, 175-store, 110 acre complex will include Sears J C Penney Montgomery Ward Palais Royal Wilsons Bealls and The Fair with a Budget Store for students. A skating rink eateries cinemas clubs and extensive parking will anchor the mall opening March 4 1981.

New Public Relations Billboard For LC Plan
The LC public relations department unveils an 8 by 10 foot condensable billboard designed by K and M Associates of Houston. Two interchangeable designs, rainbow and red and silver school colors, will be printed with six to eight large color prints and four moveable spotlights for varied lighting. Debut occurs at the Chamber of Commerce convention on Sept. 19 and will travel to Baytown Crosby Liberty youth rodeos and San Jacinto Mall opening March 4, 1981 before rotating through area high schools.
